The Spunkettes

Hello I have not posted I a while so I guess I will do it now.

What have your families been doing in school? Well, we have been learning about Ancient Mesopotamia and Abram (Abraham). It has been very interesting to learn how God told Abram to leave his kindred and “Ur” and go to the “Promised Land.” But Abram sinned and took with him, his kindred. About halfway, they came to a place called Heran which means ” desolate and fruitless.” They stayed there for six years. During that time, his father died. Then they left Heran and continued on their journey to Canaan.

Katie and I do a club called “Keepers at Home.” It’s really fun! There are about 15 girls and about 6 moms who do it too! It is a monthly club. Today we hosted it and we rubber stamped cards and decorated canvas bags! Last month we did napkin folding! You can get the book “Keepers at Home” at Timberdoodle or I think at Amazon or even Ebay! The meeting starts off with the “Keepers Anthem,” then we read the goal, purpose, scripture and prayer. Next we do the craft and after a little bit we eat refreshments. The girls talk with the each other while the moms talk. Then after we are done with the refreshments, we do some more of the craft! So do you get the general idea? I think I said too much!

I hope to post soon but our computer went down again and I have very limted internet time. I usally check our blog and leave comments on our blog and post comments on other people’s blog but I am on my dad’s computer right now so I better get off!!!

Sorry we haven’t posted in a while. Our computer had some problems that had to get fixed, so it took about a week to do. Plus, I don’t get on the computer very often so that’s the whole story why we haven’t posted!
